About the Club
The Rotary Club of Aberdeen Bon Accord is one of Aberdeen’s newest and only breakfast club and was formed in 2004.A group of younger individuals from diverse backgrounds have bonded together to establish a new Rotary club specifically focusing on more youthful members, enabling the next generation to enjoy the many benefits Rotary can provide to it’s members and the wider community.
"Bon Accord" - Happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again. Although the City of Aberdeen has proudly boasted this motto since 1430, and one which reflects true fellowship, it took more than 100 years of Rotary to see a club within Aberdeen adopt this name.
Membership is by invitation only but we are still looking to recruit a limited number of individuals of both genders, from all ethnic and religious backgrounds, who are interested in furthering the aims of a quality organisation.
During the last three years the Rotary club of Aberdeen Bon Accord has raised money through a variety of fundraising events and has distributed over £15,000 to a variety of local and international causes, in addition to the funds raised by The Bon Accord Bike Ride.
